I don’t
think our society necessarily needs a hero; it needs more people with
hero-like qualities. Although a hero would be great, it would just make more
“villains” out of the people that don’t like him/her. I feel like a hero would
cause more jealousy in society than happiness because the everyday people
wouldn’t get the recognition they deserve. If someone did something amazing
like risk his/her life to help a lady out of a burning building, would he get
the credit for it? Or would the credit go to the hero that put out the fire
after a life was saved? Not everybody would agree with the hero, causing more
trouble or chaos.
You don’t
have to be a superhero to be considered a hero. The everyday normal person
could very well be a hero. People who are brave and risk their life or safety
to help others are also heroes. It takes a lot of courage to go out of your
comfort zone and put yourself in danger to save someone else. Some qualities
that could make you a potential hero are bravery, courage, attentiveness, standing
up for what you believe in, going out of your way to help others and many more.
Even though i think that our society does need a hero i agree with you that it would cause jealousy among people. You also have a point that you dont have to be a superhero to be considered a hero
ReplyDeleteGood point- I never thought about the negative consequences of being a hero.
